Welcome to SOULFLOW CIC. We are a small local initiative with huge aims. We have come together to support our residents of Tower Hamlets, Old Ford area.
We are a very committed team who are passionate about providing support to those in need. With the cost of living crisis upon us all, our services stretched and another cold winter looming upon us, we are dedicated to providing support and assistance where we can.
At our Active Tea Workshop, Food Run and Sunday Night Soup Run, we provide more than just hot, nourishing food. We set up a medium where we can offer advice, support, warmth and shelter. Most importantly, we do not judge. We want each person to know we see them, we hear them and support them all with a warm compassionate smile.
No matter the background, the gender, the age, the social status. We are here. Every meal we serve carries the weight of kindness and compassion. Every interaction is a testament to the power of humanity's collective heartbeat.
All our Food Projects are free.
SOULFLOW CIC emerged in September 2023 as a response to a worrying report on the health profile of Old Ford, Tower Hamlets. In May and June 2023, a collaborative effort between City, University of London, Tower Hamlets CVS, and Public Health during the workshop unveiled the stark realities of the community's well-being. Representing an organisation at the time, at the Community World Café event, I witnessed the gravity of the situation, prompting a deep commitment to enhancing the health and welfare of our elderly community.
However, this journey cannot be undertaken alone. SOULFLOW CIC’s collaboration with local authorities, public health services, businesses, and volunteers is the cornerstone of making a positive impact.
At SOULFLOW CIC, we believe well-being should be accessible to everyone. Our team tirelessly creates a supportive environment for individuals of all backgrounds.
Our Active Tea Workshops
SOULFLOW CIC offers community activities for free to empower our elderly generation. We aim to reduce social isolation, loneliness, and social determinants of health through our active tea workshops.
Some of our Active Tea Workshop activities include:
These are just a few to mention. As SOULFLOW CIC don’t have a permanent base, please follow our social media for the update of our next location. We aim to collaborate/hire with the local community hubs, Idea Stores, or religious establishments to run the Active Tea Workshop.
